Extreme situations, such as that now confronting Israel, require extreme measures. This is why I wrote “The IDF: A Politician’s Army.” Israel faces the threat of Total Annihilation from Iran, or piecemeal destruction from Hamas and Fatah, either one of which may obtain more lethal weapons.
Israel’s present government is utterly incapable of dealing with this threat. The prime minister is a paltry egoist, a fool as well as a craven. Every day he remains in office diminishes Israel’s chance of survival.
The Romans knew how to deal with such a situation. The Roman Senate appointed a temporary dictator.
Yes, this poses a great danger, and of course the idea will horrify timid souls. But I dare say that Israel’s existing—and by no means democratic—government poses a more obvious and greater danger.
Even before Ahmadinejad, a Bar-Ilan University study of 6,196 Israelis between the ages of 11 and 15 from a variety of religious and ethnic groups indicates that 40% worry that Israel faces the threat of destruction. Folks, these kids reflect the fears of their parents. Those fears were based on the awareness of only a fraction of the dangers now hanging over Israel like the sword of Damocles.
Unless a drastic change occurs in the direction of Israel’s government—and this will require a drastic change in the character of those who run this decrepit government—the present State of Israel will be relegated to the ashes of history.

Israel is the anchor of the Jewish future, and those in the world who would deny us know it.
The clique that is now running Israel is a collection of scoundrels, detritus from Oslo, leading the Jewish state toward the abyss, already visible on the horizon.
This would not be possible but for the complacency and political inertia that has come over the Israeli people - the inevitable consequence of "the peace process's" shattered dreams.
** It is imperative that the Jews currently residing in Israel (most trained soldiers) shake themselves loose from their political coma, organize, choose fresh leaders, mobilize, then go out into the streets, and stay there, until the criminal oligarchy now in place is swept aside. Anything less amounts to just another e-mail, op-ed or useless ballot.
Anything less threatens the well-being of Israel and hence Jews worldwide.”
